Fit and Sizing

The Mini Lifer is built for kids and smaller heads. Measure the circumference around your head, just above the eyebrows, and match it to the range below.

What safety standards does this helmet meet?

The Mini Lifer is dual certified: Multi-Impact to ASTM F-1492-15 and High-Impact to CPSC 16 CFR Part 1203. S1 batch-tests every production run.

Is this the right helmet for my child?

The Mini Lifer fits head circumferences from 18.5" to 20.5", which covers most kids. Measure around the head just above the eyebrows. If the head measures above 20.5", choose the standard S1 Lifer instead.

Why choose a multi-impact helmet?

Non-certified foam helmets are meant for a single impact and should be replaced after one hard hit. The EPS Fusion Foam in the Mini Lifer is certified multi-impact, so it keeps protecting through the repeated lower-force falls that are common when kids are learning.

When should I replace my helmet?

Replace the helmet if the shell cracks or the foam is compressed or damaged, or after a hard crash. Inspect it regularly for signs of wear.

What is the return policy?

S1 products can be returned within 60 days as long as they have not been used. Contact us for a return authorization (RA) number before sending anything back. Return shipping is paid by the buyer, and we refund the original purchase amount once the item arrives. If it is a helmet sizing issue and you have already tried the other liners in the box, we may be able to send the correct liner instead of a full return. S1 gear carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty against defects. The warranty does not cover damage from impact, misuse, accident, or normal wear and tear.
