Certification

Fit and Sizing

Measure the circumference around the head, just above the eyebrows, with tailor's tape, then match it to the range below.

• Fits head circumference 20.5" to 23.5".
• XS 20.5", S 21", M 21.5", L 22", XL 22.5", XXL 23", XXXL 23.5".
• Fine-tune the fit with the color-coded liners. The thicker the liner, the smaller the head it fits: grey 14mm, red 12mm, beige 10mm, black 8mm, green 6mm, blue 4mm, purple 2mm.

Pair your helmet with knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards for full protection, especially for beginner riders and kids still developing balance.

What safety standards does this helmet meet?

It is dual certified: Multi-Impact to ASTM F-1492-15 and High-Impact to CPSC 16 CFR Part 1203. S1 batch-tests every production run against those standards even though they are not required to.

Is this the right size for me?

The Lifer fits head circumferences from 20.5" to 23.5". Measure around the head just above the eyebrows with tailor's tape. Below 20.5", choose the S1 Mini Lifer. Above 23.5", choose the S1 Mega Lifer.

Why choose a multi-impact helmet?

Non-certified foam helmets are meant for a single impact and should be replaced after one hard hit. The EPS Fusion Foam in this helmet is certified multi-impact, so it keeps protecting through the repeated lower-force falls that are common while learning.

The helmet does not fit quite right. Can I adjust it?

Yes. Every helmet ships with extra color-coded sizing liners. If it is too tight, swap in a thinner liner. If it is too loose, swap in a thicker one. Pressure at the temples means try a thinner front liner, and pressure at the forehead means try a thinner back liner.

When should I replace my helmet?

Replace it if the shell cracks or the foam is compressed or damaged, or after a hard crash. Inspect it regularly for signs of wear.

What is the return policy?

S1 products can be returned within 60 days as long as they have not been used. Contact us for a return authorization (RA) number before sending anything back. Return shipping is paid by the buyer, and we refund the original purchase amount once the item arrives. If it is a sizing issue and you have already tried the other liners in the box, we may be able to send the correct liner instead of a full return. S1 gear carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty against defects. The warranty does not cover damage from impact, misuse, accident, or normal wear and tear.
